ROCHESTER, NY – The Empire 8 has announced that 59 Hartwick Hawks are among 796 student-athletes from the league's nine full-time member and 14 affiliate institutions recognized on the Fall 2017 President's List.
President's List recipients must earn a 3.75 grade point average or higher while participating in a conference-sponsored sport. In addition, the student-athlete must display positive conduct on and off campus and be enrolled full-time at the member institution.
Nine Hartwick athletic teams were also acknowledged as Empire 8 All-Academic Teams for registering grade-point averages of 3.2 or higher for the semester. The Hawks' women's tennis team topped the list with a team grade-point average of 3.63.
Hartwick's women's soccer (3.47), water polo (3.35), volleyball (3.32), field hockey (3.31), women's lacrosse (3.30), men's tennis (3.26), women's cross country (3.26), and men's soccer (3.25) teams were among the record 126 teams within the Empire 8 recognized with the award.
