On this day in 1977 the Hartwick men's soccer team improved to 6-0-1 with a 3-0 win on the road against Albany. Steve Long (pictured) scored twice, Billy Gazonas added another, and Duncan MacDonald assisted twice.

Long opened the scoring in the seventh minute, assisted by MacDonald. Gazonas' insurance tally on the windy day came in minute 30, again assisted by MacDonald. Long secured the brace in the second half, putting one in in the 74th minute, with the helper going to Tom Maresca.
