GameChanger/AVCA Tabs Hornick as Division III National Player of the Week

ONEONTA, N.Y. – Braelyn Hornick (Candor, N.Y.) was named honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as their GameChanger/AVCA National Division III Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for her performance during the week of September 19-25.
 
Hornick who also received Empire 8 Player of the week honors, orchestrated an offense this past week that put away 163 kills over the course of three matches.  The sophomore setter recorded assists on 130 of those kills, posting 56 alone in the Friday match against Medaille.
 
In the three victories across the week, Hornick also contributed a season high 7 kills against Houghton.  She also led the Hawks in digs during that contest with 15.  Additionally, across the week, she put away seven aces.
 
Hornick is the first player in Hartwick history to be named National Player of the Week.
