ONEONTA, NY - The Hartwick College Hawks placed 91 student-athletes on the Fall 2024 Empire 8 President's List, improving their total from last fall. The Empire 8 President's List award is recognized as one of the conference's highest honors.

In order to qualify, student-athletes must earn a 3.75 grade point average or higher during the semester, display positive conduct on and off campus, be enrolled full time, while also participating in an NCAA-sponsored sport. For Hartwick, all 17 teams had a member named to the President's List, men's lacrosse led the men's side with 17 honorees and women's soccer led the women's side with nine honorees.

Nine teams were selected to receive Empire 8 All-Academic Team honors, individual programs must post a team GPA of 3.2 or higher. Women's Lacrosse and Women's Tennis tied for the top rank for Hartwick, with both squads posting an astonishing 3.5 team GPA.

Overall, the Empire 8's 12 full-time members sponsored 5,679 student-athletes who combined for a conference-wide fall grade point average of 3.28. Overall, 29 percent of all Empire 8 student-athletes received this impressive distinction. Additionally, a league record 177 teams were acknowledged as Empire 8 Conference All-Academic Teams for registering a team grade point average of 3.2 or higher for the fall semester.
