2021-2022:  Competed in the 5000m and 3000m… placed third in the 3000m at the Hamilton Invitational (1/21)… finished second in the 5000m at the Blue and Orange Invite (1/29)… part of the 4000m distance relay team that finished 6^th at the Empire 8 Championships… posted a personal best 3000m time of 12:13.72 at the Empire 8 Championships

Prior to Hartwick: Attended Edmeston Central School … competed in cross country and track and field for the Panthers … First Team All-MAC in cross country in 2021 … First Team Tri-Valley in track in 2021 … Second Team All-MAC in cross country in 2017 … NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete from 2018-2021 … received the Cross Country Finish on Empty Award, the Leaving it all on the Track Award, and the Bonnie Perkins Award in 2021 … received the Cross Country Award in 2019 … earned Most Improved in cross country in 2018.

Personal: Daughter of Gloria and James Smith … History and Spanish major … mother, Gloria, competed in cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field at Ithaca College … hobbies are drumming, running, sewing, hanging out with her cats, hanging out with her friends, and listening to music … favorite athletes are Shalene Flanagan and Steve Prefontaine … favorite sports team is the Carolina Hurricanes … favorite musical group is BTS.

Why Hartwick? “I chose to attend Hartwick because I like the close-knit community it has. After attending an incredibly small high school, I knew I did not want to go to a big college. Also, I can continue with my musical interest that I developed in high school.”
